Xbox 360 Released

Microsoft gets a head-start on the next-generation console war by releasing the Xbox 360 today (November, 22, 2005) in the United States and Canada. And soon will be followed by being released in Europe on the 2ND of December and December 10TH for Japan. This could allow the Microsoft Xbox 360 to become the most popular next-generation console when it's all said and done.

Consumers will be able to buy two different types of Xbox 360s, the Premium Package will be priced at $399 USD and the Core System will be priced at $299 USD. The Premium Package will have a wireless controller, Xbox Live headset, component HD AV cable, ethernet cable, one month trial of Xbox Live Gold and hard drive. While the Core System will only have composite AV cable and a wired controller.

There is no doubt which package hardcore gamers will get, as they'll need a hard drive or memory unit to play online, to save games and to original Xbox games.
